Dear Users:
The users for the following domains must reactivate their accounts using the instructions below after another server crash – alliancefrancaisehtfd.org, centralbaptisthtfd.org, guakia.org, herc-inc.org, micasainc.org, and ucanct.org.
Please contact me to discuss the situation at 860-297-4277.

Dear Users:
The email server attacks continue. I have setup parallel servers to deal with the loads caused by the attacks. Once again – ALL USERS MUST REACTIVATE THEIR ACCOUNTS LIKE YOU DID EARLIER THIS MONTH WHEN THE NEW SERVER WENT ONLINE.
The instructions for how to do this are below. If you have any questions, problems, or concerns, please do not hesitate to call me at 860-297-4277.
NOTE: For all Outlook, Thunderbird, or MacMail users, you will not need to reconfigure your clients for the new server. The system uses EXACTLY the same settings so all you have to do is 1) activate your account by setting the SAME PASSWORD you have for your email client and 2) close and then restart your email client at which time you will be prompted with the new security certificate.

All users will be required to first logon via the webmail system in order to confirm their accounts are indeed active. Your username is your entire email address (i.e. carlos.espinosa@trinfocafe.org). Everyone’s temporary password is the first part of your email address prior to the @. If your name prior to the @ is shorter than 6 characters, add a 123 at the end.
To access your email account visit – webmail.YOURDOMAIN.NAME (i.e. webmail.lojeriproductions.org or webmail.centralbaptisthtfd.org, etc)
For users of Outlook, Thunderbird, or another email client, you will have additional steps to take in order to receive mail via your email program. Moreover, you can also configure your email client to send your email through our new email system. The configuration process is the same for both POP3 or IMAP users!
The example I give below is for my test account at trinfocafe.net.
For Hartnet.org and Trinfocafe.com domains, or any domain hosted by Trinfo.Cafe:
Incoming mail server (POP3 or IMAP) – mailboxes.YOURDOMAIN NAME – i.e. mailboxes.trinfocafe.com or mailboxes.hartnet.org or micasainc.org, etc.
Outgoing mail server (SMTP) – mailboxes.YOURDOMAIN NAME – i.e smtp.trinfocafe.com or smtp.hartnet.org (use this if you want to use our email server to send)
For Outlook users:
Office 2011 – Go to file, then Account Settings.
Office 2007 and prior – Tools – Account Settings or Email Accounts
Select your account and click CHANGE.
NOTE: for some Outlook users, this next step may not be necessary. If you get errors when trying to connect, do not use SPA.
Here you MAY NEED TO select the check box at the bottom – Require logon using Secure Password Athentication (SPA)
Then click MORE SETTINGS on the left and click on the last tab – ADVANCED
You must CHECK off the box for This server requires an encrypted connection (SSL) and the port will automatically change to 995 from 110.
If you want to send mail through Trinfo’s email system then you must select AUTO in the dropdown box for the Outgoing server (SMTP) then click OK.
Now we are back to this screen – click NEXT
And you will be prompted to accept a security certificate. Because of Microsoft, you will see this warning EVERY SINGLE time you launch Outlook.
This is because Microsoft only accepts certificates that are in their paid database. The connection is indeed secure, so do not worry.
Trinfo will not be paying Microsoft for the privilege of removing this warning for users. If this annoys you, then use Thunderbird.
Click Yes. Then Finish and you should be all set.
For Thunderbird users:
Go to Tools – then Account Settings and find your account, then click Server settings.
Notice the port number – 143 for IMAP and 995 for POP3
Security Setttings – Connection Security – STARTTLS
Authentication Method – Normal Password
If you want to configure SMTP, then use port 587
Security Setttings – Connection Security – STARTTLS
Authentication Method – Normal Password
User Name – should be your entire email address.
